Instrument and additional role credits for individual tracks

Resource Overview

Track Credits are the credits of a track beyond the core artist roles: instruments (violin, acoustic guitar…) and additional roles (engineer, co-producer…), each one naming the credited party under a credit role. Core roles such as main artist, featuring, producer, composer or lyricist are managed through track artists.

This resource is read-only. Credits are written through the track itself, with the extended-credits attribute of POST /tracks and PATCH /tracks/{id} — see Tracks → Extended Credits.

Relationships always carry their resource identifier and have no relationship links. Use include to load the related resources.

Read-only Attributes

Business Validations

  • • Read-only: there is no POST, PATCH or DELETE on /track-credits. Send the track's extended-credits attribute instead
  • • Track ownership: only credits of tracks you can access are returned
  • • Authentication required: must be logged in to read credits

Query Parameters

Filtering

  • • filter[id] - Filter by credit IDs (comma-separated)
  • • filter[track] - Filter by track ID
  • • filter[album] - Filter by album ID (credits of every track on the album)
  • • filter[artist] - Filter by linked artist ID
  • • filter[role] - Filter by credit role key (e.g., violin)

Other Parameters

  • • include - track, credit-role, artist
  • • sort - track, credit-role, position (default: track,credit-role,position)
  • • page[number] - Page number (default: 1)
  • • page[size] - Results per page (default: 20, max: 500)
